On the eve of Independence Day at least 216 employees of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) were awarded for excellence. CEO Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) PK Singh presented ‘Prashasti Awards’ to 54 personnel belonging to CISF, BSL Security, Fire Services, and personnel from Vigilance department for their exemplary dedication to duty. While another group of 162 BSL employees was given the BSL ‘Excellence Award’ for their outstanding contribution in their respective areas of work.
The awards were distributed during Independence Day celebration held at Mohan Kumar Mangalam stadium where Singh unfurled the tri colour. Speaking on this occasion Singh listed the achievements of the plant in the areas of production, techno-economic parameters and CSR during the last fiscal.
Expressing optimism in team BSL’s capabilities, CEO said, despite the challenging steel industry scenario, BSL is committed to make a turnaround this year and take the plant to greater heights.
The function witnessed March past by battalion of CISF jawans including an all-female battalion, BSL Security and Fire Services personnel and NCC cadets. Besides others DIG (CISF) Nilima Rani Singh, EDs, GMs and BSL senior officials were present on the eve. After the main function, CEO and senior officials visited the Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) for greeting the patients. Members of the Mahila Samiti also distributed fruits among the patients.
Singh inaugurated two new digital X-ray machines at BGH. Later in the afternoon, a friendly football match was organized between CEO XI and DC XI.
