Bokaro: Bokaro police arrested a builder for cheating over dozens of homebuyers of rupees several crore on the pretext of selling them new flats. The builder has been identified as 40-year-old Prakash Giri, who owns a company named ‘Arya Vihar’, said Kartik S, Superintendent of Police Bokaro.
Prakash is a resident of Jogia Tola, under Markachho police station of Kodarma district was arrested for duping over Rs 4 crore from more than 12 homebuyers for selling them land plots, duplex and triplexes, he said.
“Several cases have been filed against him at City police station, Sector 4 and Sector 12 police stations though many Certificate cases have also been filed against Giri at district court while the court has issued the arrest warrant in several cases,” added SP. Following the several complaints we have constituted a squad to nab them, last night team conducted raids and Giri was arrested from a house under sector 12 police stations, he said.
