Bokaro: SAIL’s , Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) hogged the limelight during ‘Annual Award Function’ of JCSSI (Joint Committee on Safety, Health, and Environment in Steel Industry) concluded at Ranchi.
SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant has won the prestigious ‘Ispat Suraksha Puraskar 2019’ under different schemes for ‘No fatal accident at an Integrated Steel Plant during the calendar year 2018’. BSL has also been conferred with Ispat Suraksha Puraskar 2019 for ‘No fatal accident in different zones of the plant during the years 2017 and 2018’. Also award has been won for ‘No fatal accident involving contract labour during the calendar year 2018’. Officers from BSL attended the award function at Ranchi.
Vivek Agrawal, Manager (Projects) and Safety received this award at Ranchi on behalf of Projects division. He informed that BSL has received this award under Scheme II (Group A) for ‘No fatal accident in Projects zone during the calendar year 2017 and 2018’. At Bokaro, he presented the award shield and certificate to Executive Director (Projects), Rajeev Kushwaha in the presence of General Managers, K N Panda, A K Pradhan, K P Tiwari and other senior officers of the department. Former Director (Projects & BP), SAIL, T S Suresh was also present three. Kushwaha congratulated the Projects collective on this extraordinary feat and directed to sustain this for an accident-free environment in BSL.
