New Delhi: CBSE Board Class 10 and 12 results will be released by July 15, 2020 on the official website. In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak across the country, the declaration of CBSE 10th results has been delayed.
The Board has cancelled all the remaining examinations of class 10 and 12 board exams, which were scheduled to be conducted from 1 July due to rising COVID-19 pandemic; will still go ahead with announcing the results, it reported.
Students will be able to check their CBSE 10th Results 2020 using their CBSE admit card roll no., DOB, the centre, and school number by clicking on the link provided below. It must be noted that the CBSE Class 10th result 2020 released online is provisional. Students will be required to collect their original mark sheet and certificates from school.
Over 17 lakh students have registered for the CBSE 10th exams this year that was conducted between February 15 and March 19. The last examination of Computer Science was scheduled for March 20, which has now been cancelled.
In its recent notice also, the board states that the class 10 and 12 results will be declared by July 15 to ensure students get enough time to apply for admissions at universities or colleges. The evaluation process was being carried by the staff from home on instructions from the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (HRD), reported The Indian Express.
In case a student is not satisfied with the marks given under the special scheme, they can appear for a later exam, the dates for which have not been announced yet. Further, after these exams, no improvement paper will be held as this facility is only available to class 12 students.
The exam was not held for some 40-odd subjects; for students of class 10 and 12 who have completed all their exams, the result will be declared on the basis of their performance. The evaluation process for these exams had begun during the lockdown, as teachers were given answer scripts at their home to evaluate, it reported.
In the case of students who have appeared for more than three subjects, the ‘average of marks obtained in best three performing subjects’ will be awarded for subjects for which the exam was not held, as per the board.
For students who have appeared in exams in only three subjects, the average of marks obtained in ‘best two performing subjects’ will be awarded for papers for which exam was not held.
