‘Research work should not be limited to academic achievement but become a factor for the progress of the nation’: Dr. Gopal

Ranchi: There is always a need to maintain quality for good and quality research work. Research work should not be limited to academic achievement but become a factor for the advancement of the nation, said Professor Dr. Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor Sarala Birla University.

Pathak was addressing the researchers in a Ph. D. orientation program organsied at Sarala Birla University on Saturday.

“Quality socio-economic research and utility research is also relevant. Only through time management, we can accomplish our goals,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion University Registrar Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh expressed his views on the importance of research and how to complete the research work smoothly.

He said that at present there are many ways of collecting data, in which we have to focus on the appropriate and useful points, using discretion so that the purpose of research can be fulfilled.

Professor Sridhar B Dandin presented the guidelines for the Ph. D. program to be conducted at the University. Radha Madhav Jha, Ph. D. The program Coordinator presented brief information on topics such as Ph. D. registration, course work, topic selection, research psychology, publications, seminars, and research essay writing.

An introductory session was also organized on the occasion by researchers and research directors related to their subjects and topics.

The program was conducted by Dr. Pooja Mishra while the vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Megha Sinha. Beside others, Administrative Manager Ajay Kumar, Principal of Nursing, Dr. Subani Bada, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Partha Paul, Dr. Amrita Sarkar, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Dr. Nitya Garg, Dr. Aditi Singh, Prof. Rahul Vats, Prof. Sanjeev Bajaj, Prof. Ashok Kumar Ashtana, Dr. Bhardwaj Shukla, Praveen Kumar, Rahul Ranjan, Subhash Narayan Shahdev, Aditya Ranjan, research students, research directors and professors of various departments were present there.

The program concluded with the national anthem.
