RNS I Bokaro: BJP Yuva Morcha (BJPYM) Bokaro district’s former General Secretary Kunj Bihari Pathak demanded seizing all such vehicles purchased by MP, MLA, or any government funds does not engage in public work presently.
“Under the provision of Section 65 of the Disaster Management Act, all those vehicles received under any grant or government aids, MP, MLA’s funds and are not occupied in public work, should be seized and install in public service with immediate effect, during this time of disaster,” said Kunj.
Stating his demand, Kunj has submitted letters to Deputy Commissioner, SDO Chas, SDO Bermo, and District Transport Officer Bokaro.
Kunj said, despite constantly fixing the benchmark rate by the government for the ambulance, drivers are not deterred from doing their arbitrary. The situation in this pandemic has become even more frightening in rural areas.
Those vehicles will help in a long way in easily accessing medicines, vaccines, and other medical supports to the public in remote areas, he said.
Kunj urged that people who keep such vehicles in their homes for personal work should come forward and handed over the vehicles to the district administration to facilitate mass in the time of disaster.
