MBA-Ex Program of IIM Calcutta secures 14th position in Asia, 76th globally

RNS I Kolkata: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta has secured the 76th position in QS Global ranking 2022 for its 1-year full-time residential Executive MBA. The ranking is a testimonial to the superior quality of education provided by the institute and the success of the 1-year full-time residential Executive MBA programme (MBA-Ex), over the years.

The rankings considered 286 programmes across 45 countries. IIM Calcutta leapfrogged from the 79th position last year to the 76th position globally, this year and the 14th position in Asia. It performed amongst the top 27% schools globally and the top 30% in Asia out of 286 programs.

The ranking methodology weighed in different criteria such as Employability, Return on Investment, Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes, Class & Faculty Diversity.  IIM Calcutta received an overall score 61.4 and 60.9 out of 100 for Employability and Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes respectively.

It performed amongst the top 18.9% globally and the top 22.5% in Asia for Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcome indicative group. The institute also received an overall score 69.4 out of 100 for Return on Investment. It performed amongst the top 43.4% globally and the top 22.5% in Asia for this indicator group.

Commenting on the 2022 Rankings, Professor Manish Thakur, Dean, New Initiatives and External Relations, IIM Calcutta said, “The prestigious QS Global MBA ranking strengthens our efforts to produce world-class global leaders and change makers. The elevation in the ranking reflects the quality of education, research work and faculty mentorship provided by the institute and the successful record of employment for the 1-year full-time residential Executive MBA alumni.”

Besides this, IIM Calcutta will continue to proactively partner with government and industry bodies to drive performance and to contribute to society at large, he said.
