RNS I Ranchi: Union Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Pralhad Joshi directed the coal companies’ officials to ensure sustainable coal production and dispatches to power plants.
Joshi chaired a review meeting of CCL and BCCL at CCL HQ, Darbhanga House, Ranchi on Tuesday. During the meeting minister reviewed the coal production and offtake of CCL and BCCL during the meeting.
Joshi said that the coal companies should take necessary steps to clear the bottle necks in coal evacuation and production. We are there to extend all support, wherever and whenever required. He asked the seniors officials to motivate the employees to make all-out efforts to scale up production & dispatch.
He said that festive seasons has started and it is our duty that to secure uninterrupted supply of coal to the power plants.
Prior to the joint meeting of CCL and BCCL, minister along with his team visited Ashoka OCP in Piparwar area of CCL in Chatra District, Jharkhand. He interacted with on-ground team and motivated them to increase production and offtake from the mine. He also visited Bachra Railway Siding in Piparwar Area, Ranchi He emphasized on supply of proper quality and quantity of coal onto the railway wagons.
Besides others, Additional Secretary, MoC V K Tiwari, Chairman, CIL Pramod Agarwal, Joint Secretary, MoC B P Pati, Dr. Honnareddy N, Sri Narayan Gambhir, CMD, CCL and BCCL PM Prasad, CMD, ECL PS Mishra, CMD, CMPDIL Manoj Kumar, Director (Technical) (Operation) V K Srivastava, Director (Technical) (P&P) Bhola Singh, Director (Personnel) PVKR Mallikarjuna Rao, ED/TS to Chairman, CIL MK Singh and other officials were present during the meeting.
