#Maximum 88 cases reported from Maharashtra followed by 67 in Delhi
RNS: Around 358 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country so far. Out of the total Omicron cases, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of 88 cases, followed by Delhi 67 and Telangana 38 cases, said Union Government.
Out of these, around 104 patients have recovered, it said.
According to the government data, 122 new cases of Omicron were reported in the past 24 hours in the country. On Thursday, 236 cases of Omicron were reported in the country.
The Union Health Ministry said, till now, one hundred fourteen patients have been discharged after recovery.
Notably, over 140 crore 31 lakh doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. More than 57 lakh 44 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
Seven thousand 51 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.40 percent. Till now, more than three crore 42 lakh 15 thousand people have recovered from COVID-19, it said.
The country reported six thousand 650 new Covid cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is around 77 thousand. Presently the active cases constitute 0.22 per cent of the country’s total positive cases, which is the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 66 crore 98 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
