DPS Bokaro Students explore mysteries of Galaxies at Ayodhya Hills

RNS: With an aim to actively engage learners in the field of Astronomy and the Celestial World, approximately 100 students from Classes VI to XI of DPS Bokaro participated in an introductory session on galaxies, stars and planets.

The overnight camp held at Kushal Palli resort, Ayodhya Hills, on Wednesday helped the students learn about the terrestrial world using a special type of state-of-the-art space reflector, a Newtonian telescope 150 mm.

The students got the opportunity to explore the night sky and observe the craters of the moon and other objects like planets, nebulae, galaxies, clusters and double stars. It was all about discovering, learning and enjoying the star-studded sky.

Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro stated, it was a proactive step to engage the students in the field of astronomy and the celestial world. “The overnight camp must have been a thrilling experience for the students, and it’s great to see them being exposed to concepts beyond the classroom. Such trips can help spark curiosity and inspire children to pursue further studies in science and astronomy,” he added.
