RNS: Chhavi Ranjan, former Deputy Commissioner Ranchi has been suspended after being accused of corruption in the sale and acquisition of army-occupied land and other disputed lands.
The Personnel Department has issued a notification in this regard. “IAS Chhavi Ranjan is suspended with immediate effect after being apprehended by the law,” stated the notification.
On Friday, the ED officially informed Sukhdev Singh, Chief Secretary, Jharkhand, about Chhavi Ranjan’s arrest.
Following court approval, the ED will interrogate Chhavi Ranjan for six days. He appeared in court through video conferencing on Saturday.
