Four day STEM robotics summer camp concludes at IIT-ISM

#Girls of SSLNT Women’s College emerge winner in mobile robotics rovers designing contest

RSN: The girl students of SSLNT Women’s College Dhanbad proved their mettle by winning the top prize in the Mobile Robotics Rover Designing contest organized by Naresh Vashisht Centre for Tinkering and Innovation (NVCTI), the innovation hub of IIT (ISM) as part of the four days STEM Robotics Summer Camp which concluded yesterday (June 4).

The second and third prize in the Robotics designing contest was won by teams of SNN High School Bagsuma and Gandhi Smarak Adivasi +2 High School Govindpur and RS More College Govindpur, informed Rajni Singh, Dean, Media & Branding of ISM.

Notably, more than 50 students of class VIII to XII of 10 different schools and colleges took part in the camp, where they got the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The camp cum workshop provided the opportunity for the participants to experience the hands-on practical on mobile robots, to showcase cutting-edge technology, collaborative problem-solving activities, application on sensor technology, coding on critical thinking, experience on AR/VR Technology and Practical Application of Internet of things.

Notably, two experienced experts provided hands-on training during the free-of-cost residential workshop organized for the first time by the institute.

Apart from the three winning teams, the seven other teams, including Project Girls High School Govindpur, DAV High School Jharia, Middle School Kurchi, Mother Teresa High School Sindri, Gandhi Smarak Adivasi +2 High School, Yadavpur, +2 High School Govindpur and a second team of SNN High School, Bagsuma took part in the contest.
