Bokaro: DPS Bokaro hosted a Capacity Building Programme on Art Integration today organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Centre of Excellence (COE) Patna. The workshop was especially designed for teachers, to empower them by equipping with the tools and strategies to integrate art into their teaching practices and enhance student engagement in learning across various subjects.
The Art Integration Workshop brought together a group of passionate educators from various schools. Around 120 teachers from Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and other nearby districts, including Bokaro, participated in the event.
The workshop commenced with a sapling presentation and lamp lighting. Dr Ravi Prakash Tiwary, Principal of DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi and Tanushri Chakraborty, a senior teacher from Nirja Sahay DAV Public School Kanke, RANCHI were the Resource Persons. They shared insights into the benefits of incorporating art into teaching practices, emphasizing how it can foster critical thinking, creativity, and empathy in students.
The participants engaged in hands-on learning activities and interactive sessions facilitated by the resource persons. The program was divided into four different sessions, which covered a wide range of topics, providing teachers with practical strategies and resources for integrating art into different academic disciplines. The exchange of ideas and experiences fostered a vibrant and stimulating learning environment, encouraging teachers to experiment with new approaches and push the boundaries of their teaching practices.
