New Delhi: Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the upcoming G20 Summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed President Xi’s absence on Monday.
Premier Li Qiang, on the other hand, is slated to represent China at the G20 Summit, offering continuity amidst recent discussions about the leadership’s participation.
China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, conveyed a sense of optimism during a news conference regarding the forthcoming summit. “China hopes the summit can facilitate the building of consensus, instill confidence, and promote developmental initiatives,” Mao Ning stated, reflecting China’s aspirations for fostering collaboration and addressing global challenges.
