Bokaro: Delhi Public School Chas recently hosted the biennial ‘Unmesh’-‘Hoga Kal Sunahara’ event. The program featured an outstanding display of dance and music performances by students from the Ganga and Yamuna Houses. Priyadarshi Alok, SP Bokaro, graced the occasion as the chief guest, and Ashish Kumar Gupta, CEO of ESL Bokaro, was the special guest on the occasion.
Following the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the tree, students sang a pleasant welcome song to start the event. Pritilata Seth, the Warden of Yamuna House, delivered the welcome address.
The students of Ganga House showcased their patriotism with a spirited dance performance on the iconic song ‘Vande Mataram.’ Kumar Anurag and Pritilata Seth, the respective House Wardens of Ganga and Yamuna, proudly highlighted their houses’ achievements.
Subsequently, students from both houses came together to present a mesmerizing Qawwali rendition of ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya O Lalni’ and enchanting instrumental music. Their performance captivated the audience.
The students also treated the gathering to a captivating dance performance on the song ‘Aankhon mein hai Swarnim Bharat, haathon mein jag saara.’
SP Bokaro shared anecdotes from his academic journey with the students and imparted valuable life lessons.
He emphasized the importance of setting clear goals, self-motivation, and hard work as the key ingredients for success. SP acknowledged that today’s students are fortunate to have access to abundant educational resources, unlike in his time. He extended his best wishes to the students for a bright future.

Dr Hemlata S. Mohan, Chief Mentor of DPS Chas, Professor Vice Chairman N. Muraleedharan, Director Naveen Sharma, Officiating Principal Deepali Bhuskute, Dean Academics Jose Thomas, DS Memorial Society Secretary Suresh Aggarwal, hundreds of parents, and devoted teachers were present at the event.
Students from class nine Arisha, Rajeshwari, Yayah Masood, and Ayush conducted the program expertly.
