MP, MLA, BMS officials honoured for successful implementation of Old Pension Scheme in DVC

RNS: The reintroduction of the old pension scheme at Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) marked a significant achievement and positively impacted many workers and employees. The collaborative efforts of the DVC Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, and various union officials in making this possible were acknowledged with gratitude on Wednesday.

Many political leaders and officials of BMS who played key roles in the successful revival of the old pension scheme at DVC were honoured today. The DVC Mazdoor Sangh and the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh organized the event, which drew a large number of notable people to the Magiya Thermal Power Station auditorium, including well-known union leaders and powerful politicians.

Dr. Subhash Sarkar, Member of Parliament from Bankura and Minister of State for Education, represented the Bharatiya Janata Party at the event. Along with him were MLAs Satyanarayan Mukherjee, Chandana Bauri, and Ujjal Mukherjee, as well as Ardh Basu, General Secretary of the West Bengal State Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, and Tapan Kumar Das, General Secretary of the DVC Mazdoor Union.

The event also saw attendance from Sujit Rai, former President of DVC Mazdoor Sangh; Kaushik Banerjee, former General Secretary of DVC Mazdoor Sangh, and district-level Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh officials, as well as officials from various branches.

During the ceremony, DVC Mazdoor Sangh’s Union General Secretary Tapan Kumar Das told here today that the above-mentioned leaders fully cooperated in converting all the employees from the new pension scheme to the old pension scheme before 2004. DVC Mazdoor Sangh honored everyone for their cooperation and success.
