Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a prominent entity under the Vedanta Group and a leading integrated steel producer in India, celebrated India’s 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism.

The day commenced with an impressive parade led by ESL Steel Limited’s Security Department personnel. The unfurling of India’s tricolour added to the patriotic fervour, followed by the distribution of prizes. The event culminated with an inspiring speech by Ravish Sharma, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ESL Steel Limited.
Approximately 200 individuals, including members of local communities and employees, joined the celebrations within the ESL’s Siyaljori plant area. The crowd displayed immense appreciation for the security personnel who showcased their skills and prowess during the parade. A total of 43 coveted prizes were awarded to security personnel, with 16 recognising their outstanding duty performance and 27 acknowledging their exceptional contributions to the parade.
In his address, the COO emphasised the symbiotic relationship between community growth and business success.
He underscored that ESL Steel Limited’s commitment extends beyond steel production, as the company takes pride in empowering nearby communities for the nation’s prosperous future.
To date, ESL Steel Limited has made 450 acres of land cultivable, provided 600 homes with portable drinking water, created 2,150 alternative job opportunities, offered direct employment to 12,256 individuals, supported 11,374 students in their educational endeavours, and delivered basic healthcare facilities to 1,29,926 villagers in the vicinity.
Sharma concluded his speech by expressing gratitude to the over 500 security personnel who consistently exhibit vigilance and excellence in their roles, even dedicating extra hours to rehearsing for the parade.
