In a startling revelation, it has come to light that the gambling syndicate in Bokaro has expanded its operations overseas. The young gamblers from Bokaro, who were previously involved in online betting, have not only amassed substantial wealth but have also relocated to foreign countries, where they continue to run their illicit betting activities with sophistication.

These individuals, once seen in the streets of Bermo sub-division, are now managing multi-crore rupee betting operations from luxury hotels abroad. The Ranchi Police uncovered this information during a raid conducted while the fourth test match between India and England was in progress.

During the raid, the Ranchi Police arrested seven bookies, all hailing from Dhanbad and Bokaro, red-handed. Ranchi SSP revealed this development during a press conference on 25th February.

The arrested individuals include Prince Kumar, Rohit Rajak, Suresh Kumar Hansda, Vicky Kumar, Kajal Addi, Saurabh Kumar Gupta, and Subham Gupta, with one individual from Dhanbad and the rest from Bokaro. The police seized Rs. 11,53,500 in cash, along with mobile phones, multiple SIM cards, and various electronic devices from them.

All the arrested individuals from Bokaro belong to the Jaridih colony of Gandhinagar police station area in the Bermo sub-division. These individuals, who previously engaged in Matka betting among coal workers, have now emerged as leaders of a massive betting syndicate.

Despite the arrests, the mastermind behind the syndicate, along with six associates, remains at large. It is believed that this leader is currently residing abroad, managing the betting business fearlessly with the help of his accomplices.

The extravagant lifestyle of these individuals, evident from the expensive cars parked outside their homes, highlights the immense wealth they have accumulated.

The fact that the leader of the syndicate has managed to evade police custody raises serious concerns. How did the district police and investigative agencies overlook his activities, allowing him to operate freely despite existing administrative mechanisms? This indicates that the individual enjoys the support of influential individuals, enabling him to evade law enforcement and transform from a mere Matka betting runner to the kingpin of a betting empire.
