Gaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several development projects worth over Rs 21,000 crore in Aurangabad, Bihar, and dedicated numerous initiatives to the nation. Among the key projects, he laid the foundation stone for a six-lane bridge over the Ganga to connect South and North Bihar, and inaugurated national highway projects worth more than Rs 18,000 crore.
Additionally, the Prime Minister dedicated three railway projects in Bihar, including the doubling of the Patliputra-Pahleja line and a new 26 km railway line between Bandhua and Paimar.
He also inaugurated twelve projects worth more than Rs 2,190 crore under the Namami Gange initiative, which includes sewage treatment plants in Patna, Sonpur, Navgachia, and Chhapra, aimed at promoting cleanliness in the Ganga.
Furthermore, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Unity Mall in Patna, a project expected to cost over Rs 213 crore, which will boost the One District One Product scheme of the National Democratic Alliance government.
During a public address in Ratanua, Aurangabad, PM Modi criticized family-based politics, targeting the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress Party led by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
He expressed doubt over the future of prominent opposition leaders in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, suggesting they might resort to Rajya Sabha as a way out. Modi emphasized the BJP’s focus on development, stating that the NDA government is sidelining politicians who rely on family legacy for power.
Modi welcomed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar into the National Democratic Alliance, predicting accelerated development in the state under the “double engine” government.
He referred to the rule of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar as a dark chapter and expressed confidence that the public would not let such a time return.
