#Over 65 DIKSHa students from Bokaro center were felicitated and awarded job placements
RNS I Bokaro: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd. (DBL), a leading cement company and India’s premier steel company, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)- Bokaro, jointly organized a valedictory ceremony for 69 trainees from its DIKSHa centre in Bokaro, Jharkhand.
DIKSHa (Dalmia Institute of Knowledge and Skill Harnessing) is the flagship project from DBF providing placement-linked, short-term skill training to marginalised youth and women, adding them to skilled workforce for enhanced income. On the occasion, 26 trainees in Electrical Trade and 43 trainees in General Duty Assistant Trade were bestowed certificates upon successful completion of their training.
Out of these, nine trainees have secured positions at Honda and Hero Motorcycle Manufacturing Company in Bangalore, while two have secured opportunities at VOLTAS, Bokaro.
Around 17 trainees from the Electrical Trade have been equipped with Schneider tools kits, aiming to enhance their practical skills and facilitate optimal performance.
Philomon Billung, District Development Manager, NABARD, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Umesh Prasad, Principal of Bokaro, DIKSHa, along with dedicated instructors Parmeshwar Mahato, Asha Sharma, Sameer Anand, Ramanuj Sharma, Ranjita Kumari, Raj Kalindi and representatives from the CSR department, Prabhat Kumar, and Mathura Prasad.
Commenting on the occasion, Priya Renjan, Unit Head, JCW, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, said, “At Dalmia Bharat we are committed towards enabling social transformation and creating potential opportunities for the nation’s youth to help them become Atmanirbhar.”

Bokaro DIKSHa centre has been positively impacting the lives of youth in the surrounding villages since its inception in May 2023.
The centre offers training courses to pursue careers as Assistant Electrician, General Duty Assistant, Customer Relationship Management, Sewing Machine Operator and others shortly going to start mechanical fitter and electronics.
It also announced plans for the provision of hostel facilities for male trainees in the near future, facilitating easier access to training programs and fostering greater participation from rural youth.
