Tender Scam: ED seizes Rs 1.5 crore from contractor’s premises in Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized Rs 1.5 crore from the premises of a contractor in Jharkhand, as part of its ongoing investigation. The ED conducted fresh searches at five locations today, following yesterday’s raids on properties linked to Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam.

The agency found that Rajiv Kumar Singh, the contractor, had been involved in the routing of over 10 crores in cash. Earlier, on Monday, the ED had raided the premises of Alamgir Alam’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Sanjeev Lal, his servant Jehangir Alam, two engineers, and contractor Munna Singh, recovering Rs 35.23 crore from their premises.

The ED’s operations are not limited to these searches. They are also conducting raids on a builder near Singh More, as well as two builders near Ratu and the ITI bus stand in Ranchi. Additionally, the ED team has raided the premises of contractor Rajiv Singh in the Doranda area of Ranchi.
