Mithila Mahila Samiti Celebrates Janaki Navami with Grandeur

Bokaro: Mithila Mahila Samiti, in collaboration with the Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, celebrated Janaki Navami with great pomp on Friday evening. The event, held at the auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School in Sector 4, showcased a grand cultural presentation that won everyone’s hearts.

The function was inaugurated by social workers Neena Narayan, Kumud Kumari, Kiran Mishra, Pushpa Karna, Mithila Mahila Samiti President Seema Jha, and Cultural Secretary Binu Chaudhary by lighting the lamp. In her welcome speech, Seema Jha highlighted Sita ji’s exemplary personality as an ideal woman. Neeraj Chaudhary, General Secretary of the Mithila Cultural Council, elaborated on Sita ji’s virtues, emphasizing her devotion, sacrifice, service, restraint, tolerance, shyness, and modesty as hallmarks of women’s spirit in Indian culture.

Chief guest Neena Narayan praised Mithila Mahila Samiti for organizing the event and emphasized the importance of staying connected to cultural and mythological values. Special guest Kumud Kumari lauded Sita’s role in Lord Shri Ram’s life and urged women to incorporate her ideals into their lives.

The cultural program began with a chorus rendition of Bhagwati Vandana. Cultural Program Director Arun Pathak captivated the audience with his melodious rendition of “Ram Lakhan Sun Pahun Jinkar Sita Sanak Jakar Beti, Janak Dham Mithila Aangan Mein Chamchai Chai Mithila Moti….” Poetry recitations by Neelam Jha, Kanchan Jha, and Namita Jha focused on Sita’s life were also highlights. The event was skillfully coordinated by Kamla Jha and Kanchan Jha.

Cultural Secretary Binu Chaudhary expressed gratitude and emphasized the need for nationwide celebrations of Janaki Navami, similar to Ram Navami, to inspire women through Sita ji’s character.

Prominent attendees included Mithila Cultural Council President Anil Kumar, Vice President Samarendra Jha, Avinash Kumar Jha, General Secretary Neeraj Chaudhary, Finance Secretary Mihir Mohan Thakur, Mithila Academy Public School Secretary Pramod Kumar Jha Chandan, former school president Prabhat Kumar Jha, and other distinguished members of the community.
