CCL Celebrates World Environment Day with Week-Long Programs

Ranchi: On World Environment Day, June 5, 2024, a striking ‘Wall Mural Painting’ dedicated to coal workers was inaugurated at CCL Headquarters, Darbhanga House, Ranchi.

The mural was unveiled by Narayan Mahato of JSSPS, who won a silver medal in the men’s junior category at the Asian Cycling Track Championship, along with students from CCL’s Lal-Ladli program, under the guidance of CMD CCL Mr. Nilendu Kumar Singh.

The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Director (Finance) Mr. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director Technical (Planning & Project) Satish Jha, Director Technical (Operation) Harish Duhan, CVO Pankaj Kumar, various General Managers, Heads of Departments, and numerous CCL workers.

The vibrant wall mural, created by the CC & PR Department, aims to spread happiness and positivity among stakeholders and employees while beautifying the headquarters. The mural, based on the theme of inclusive development of CCL, showcases the department’s creativity and emphasizes the role of art in enhancing the work environment.

Alok Kumar, Head of the CC & PR Department, highlighted that the painting depicts the inner feelings of hardworking coal workers, the significance of coal mining activities, and the prosperity of the coal family. It serves as a reminder of the coal workers’ contributions to CCL and the nation.

CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh congratulated the Corporate Communications & Public Relations department for vividly portraying the Board of Directors’ vision through the mural.

He praised the initiative and the painting for its artistic representation of the company’s values and dedication to its workers.
