CCL launches Swachhata Awareness Rath to promote cleanliness

Ranchi: In a bid to foster cleanliness, the Swachhata Awareness Rath was flagged off by Sanjay Kumar, General Manager of Kathara Area, CCL. The event, which took place at the General Manager Office in Kathara, was attended by Heads of Departments, Regional Advisory Committee members, officers, office staff, and the general public.

The Swachhata Awareness Rath will tour all projects, units, colonies, and surrounding villages in the Kathara Area, promoting the message of cleanliness, informed a Public Relation Official of CCL. This initiative is organized by Chandan Kumar, Deputy Manager (CSR), under the guidance of Jayant Kumar, Head of Department (Personnel & Administration), during Swachhata Pakhwada from 14th June to 30th June 2024, as per the Ministry of Coal guidelines, said the official.

Various cleanliness-related activities and programs will be organized throughout Swachhata Pakhwada. The aim is to enhance cleanliness awareness among residents and employees, making the area clean and healthy.

Speaking at the event, Kumar, GM of Kathara Area, emphasized the collective responsibility of cleanliness, stating, “Cleanliness is our collective responsibility. Through the Swachhata Awareness Rath, we want to spread the importance of cleanliness to every individual. Cleanliness should not be limited to our homes and offices only, but it should be made an integral part of our society.”

The program aims to increase awareness about cleanliness and promote a healthy society. Under Swachhata Pakhwada, various programs will inform employees and residents about the importance of cleanliness, he said.
