Government Teachers Training College, Ranchi hosts Lecture on Indian Knowledge Tradition

Ranchi: Government Teachers Training College Kanke Ranchi hosted a lecture on Indian Knowledge Tradition under the guidance of Principal-in-charge Dr. Raman Kumar Jha. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rajkumar Sharma, Principal of Doranda College.

The event commenced with traditional rituals, including offering flowers and lighting a lamp in reverence to Mother Saraswati. Dr. Raman Jha, on behalf of the college, welcomed Dr. Rajkumar Sharma with a bouquet, a canvas painting, and a turban. Assistant Professor Dr. Omprakash, the coordinator of the lecture, introduced the guests.

Dr. Mazharul Haq provided an introduction to the topic, emphasizing the importance of incorporating Indian values into education. The stage proceedings were managed by trainee teacher Chandan.

Dr. Rajkumar Sharma elaborated on the significance of Indian knowledge tradition, exploring its core elements of Indian philosophy, knowledge systems, and cultural practices. He engaged the audience, which included students from Government Plus Two High School, in a dialogue about the essence of education and its deeper meanings.

The lecture highlighted the integration of Indian knowledge traditions into the National Education Policy 2020, emphasizing its role in providing a holistic understanding of life.

Dr. Raman Jha, in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to all participants and announced plans for future lecture series on Indian knowledge tradition.

The event was attended by faculty members including Dr. Chandra Madhav Singh, Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari, Prof. Dulal, Prof. Bhagirath, Prof. Rakesh, Prof. Dhananjay, Prof. Sameer, and Dr. Ritesh, alongside other teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
