Ranchi: Under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal and Coal India Limited, the Vigilance Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), led by Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Pankaj Kumar, has initiated a special inspection campaign across CCL mines. This initiative, which commenced on July 4th, will continue for several days.
On the second day of the campaign, CVO Shri Pankaj Kumar, accompanied by a team of vigilance officers, inspected the Urimari mines in the Barka-Sayal area. During the inspection, necessary instructions were given to enhance preventive vigilance measures.
The campaign involves inspections in 12 mines across 10 command areas of CCL, with special teams conducting thorough inspections to identify and address any security violations.
The primary objective of this campaign is to prevent unauthorized entry and exit within the mines, thereby promoting the safety of coal resources and protecting the vital assets of CCL.
Spaking on the occasion, Kumar emphasised that this inspection campaign is a crucial step towards strengthening vigilance and safeguarding assets from unauthorized or illegal activities.
Notably, drone cameras have been installed in various CCL mines to monitor unauthorized entry and exit points.
These campaigns, conducted periodically by the Vigilance Department of CCL, aim to raise awareness among all employees about the importance of vigilance.
