Bokaro: Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro recently hosted the Inter-House Kabaddi Competition 2024, organized by the Physical Education Department. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades of the school. Principal Suraj Sharma inaugurated the competition, emphasizing the significance of sports and delivering words of encouragement to the players.
In the boys’ category for classes XI and XII, Jal House emerged victorious, with Vayu House securing the runner-up position, ending with a score of 49-40. Meanwhile, in classes X and IX, Vayu House claimed the top spot, while Agni House took the runner-up position with a score of 25-19. In the junior category encompassing grades VI, VII, and VIII, Prithvi House emerged triumphant with a score of 36-16, followed by Jal House as the runner-up.
The girls of Chinmaya Vidyalaya also showcased their passion for Kabaddi with active participation. Vayu House dominated the senior girls’ category (classes IX to XII), clinching the winner’s title with a resounding 42-22 victory over Jal House. In the junior girls’ team (classes VI to VIII), Agni Sadan demonstrated exceptional skills and secured victory with a score of 31-24, with Vayu Sadan as the runner-up.
The successful execution of the competition was acknowledged and praised by school president Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, secretary Mahesh Tripathi, and vice-principal Narmendra Kumar. The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Head of the Physical Education Department, Shri Harihar Pandey, with contributions from several staff members including Sanjeev Singh, Pranjal Sekiya, Ranvijay Ojha, Adarsh Acharya, Vishal Kumar Maurya, Nitesh Pandey, Praveen Kumar, and Lalita Oraon.
