DVC Foundation Day Celebrates with Gatti Gadh Village, Enhances Community Support

Bokaro: Damodar Valley Corporation’s Chandrapura Thermal Power Station marked its 77th Foundation Day with a heartwarming celebration alongside the residents of Gatti Gadh village and DVC employees. The event, organized by the Corporation Social Responsibility Department, saw the distribution of essential supplies and plants to enhance community welfare.

School stationery, carpets, and sports equipment were distributed to Gatti Gadh school, enriching educational opportunities for local children. DVC officials visited every household in Gatti Gadh village, spreading joy with sweet packets and distributing tree saplings.

Additionally, saplings were provided to a self-help group within the village to promote environmental sustainability.

Senior General Manager and Project Head, Manoj Kumar Thakur, along with Senior General Manager Rampravesh Sah and Senior General Manager Human Resources Dr. DC Pandey, engaged rural schoolchildren in activities like carrom board, encouraging their participation and fostering community spirit.

The event also witnessed the presence of Deputy General Manager Rajeev Kumar, Shweta Rani, Manager Praveen Kumar, Rajkumar Chaudhary, CSR Department Assistant Manager Shrivatsa, Akshay Kumar, Prafull Bhandari, Akanksha Raj, Rajmani Kujur, S Durai, Pankaj Kumar, Shankar Kumar, Avinash Kumar, and CSR personnel Govind Pandey, Dr. Revat Lal, Sukdev Mahato, Bodi Ram Mahato, among others.

The Foundation Day celebration underscored DVC’s commitment to community development and environmental stewardship, setting a positive tone for future collaborations and initiatives.
