Bokaro: Vedanta ESL Skill School, under ESL Steel Limited, a flagship company of the Vedanta Group known for its contributions to societal development, celebrated a significant milestone today with a felicitation ceremony honoring 35 students who successfully completed their Solar PV Installers Trade training.
The event, held in Chandankiyari and Chas blocks, recognized the achievements of these students who hail from operational villages of ESL Steel Limited’s CSR initiatives. Philmoon Bilung DDM from NABARD and Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Deputy Head of CSR at ESL Steel Limited, felicitated the students.
Highlighting the success of the program, all 35 students not only completed their training but also secured placements with Premier Energies, a leading player in the renewable energy sector based in Hyderabad, with an average annual salary of Rs 2,00,000.
As a token of appreciation, NABARD presented each student with a Solar Kit containing essential tools for their profession.
Rakesh Kumar Mishra underscored the importance of skill development in empowering youth from operational villages, emphasizing Vedanta’s commitment to fostering a stronger community through initiatives like the Vedanta ESL Skill Development Project. In collaboration with SEEDS, Vedanta ESL Skill School has trained 521 students to date, achieving a commendable 100% placement record, with 377 students opting for placements while others pursued entrepreneurial ventures or higher education.
