Paduka Puja Marks Guru Purnima Celebrations at Chinmaya Mission

RNS: Today, on the revered occasion of Guru Purnima, Chinmaya Mission organized a special Paduka Puja to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Ved Vyas Ji, known for his profound contributions to religious texts and ethical teachings, inspiring society towards righteousness and devotion to Lord Shri Krishna.

The ceremony, a tradition observed worldwide to honor spiritual teachers, specifically paid homage to the founder of Chinmaya Mission, Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati. Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, Param Pujya Swamini Sanyuktanand Ji, presided over the ritualistic Paduka Puja.

The ceremony included the chanting of 108 names of Gurudev Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati, accompanied by an insightful discourse by Swamini Ji on the significance of Guru Purnima and the role of a Guru in one’s life.

During the event, it was emphasized that life is inseparable from the guidance of a Guru, who serves as a beacon of knowledge, dispelling ignorance and guiding towards success and fulfillment.

Participants recited verses from the fifth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, underscoring the spiritual teachings integral to Guru Purnima celebrations.

Among the attendees were Chinmaya Mission Secretary Harihar Raut, School Secretary Mahesh Tripathi, Treasurer R N Mallick, Principal Suraj Sharma, Vice Principal Narmendra Kumar, former Principal Ashok Jha, along with Mission members and school teachers. Together, they immersed themselves in the devotional atmosphere, marking the occasion with reverence and spiritual fervor.

The Paduka Puja concluded with a sense of unity and renewed dedication to the teachings of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati, echoing the mission’s commitment to spiritual growth and ethical living.
