# Santosh Kumar Gangwar Named Governor of Jharkhand
RNS: In a significant reshuffle, President Droupadi Murmu has appointed six new governors and replaced three existing ones.
Former Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde has been appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma, will take over as the Governor of Telangana.
Om Prakash Mathur, a former Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan, has been appointed as the Governor of Sikkim.
Former Union Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar has been named the Governor of Jharkhand, while Ramen Deka, a former Lok Sabha MP from Assam, will serve as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Additionally, former Karnataka Minister C.H. Vijayashankar has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya.
In the list of replacements, C.P. Radhakrishnan, currently the Governor of Jharkhand and additional in-charge of Telangana, has been appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra.
Gulab Chand Kataria, presently the Governor of Assam, will assume the role of Governor of Punjab and Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
Lakshman Prasad Acharya, the current Governor of Sikkim, has been appointed as the Governor of Assam with additional charge as the Governor of Manipur.
Furthermore, former IAS officer K. Kailashnathan has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
