Bokaro: BJP State Working Committee member Kumar Amit has voiced support for the striking Collectorate and MNREGA workers in Jharkhand, who have been on a statewide strike for the past ten days.
Amit met with the workers staging a dharna near Bokaro Collectorate, listened to their demands, and called on the state government to address their grievances promptly.
Amit criticised the government for its negligence, stating that the lack of action has left offices empty and inconvenienced the public. He highlighted that Collectorate employees and MNREGA workers are protesting due to unmet demands for job regularization, social security benefits, and basic work conditions.
Despite their long service, MNREGA workers still lack regularization and benefits like PF, health insurance, and compassionate appointments.
Amit accused the state government of corruption and ignoring its promises made in the election manifesto.
The protest has seen participation from several officials and workers, including Himanshu, Sanjay Gorai, Vibhanshu, Sunil Paul, and various MNREGA workers and engineers from across the district.
