Loyabad (Dhanbad): On the birth anniversary of Shaheed Shakti Nath Mahato, the district president of Dhanbad AJSU, Mantu Mahato, paid floral homage to the life-size statue of the martyr located on the Tetulmudi Basti school grounds. In his address, Mahato emphasized that the values of truth, sacrifice, honesty, and selflessness embodied by Shakti Nath Mahato should serve as lessons for all.
Mahato stressed the need for more leaders like Shaheed Shakti Da and Nirmal Da in today’s times. He urged that the movement initiated by Shakti Da and Nirmal Da be revitalized to fulfill the aspirations for Jharkhand’s development. Despite the creation of Jharkhand state, Mahato pointed out that the people of Jharkhand have yet to achieve true self-rule. He called for a renewed effort, or “Ulgulan,” to ensure Jharkhandis have governance that reflects their interests.
Concluding his remarks, Mahato highlighted concerns over the erosion of Jharkhand’s language and culture, asserting that such efforts will not be tolerated by the people. He urged that the legacy of Shaheed Shakti Nath Mahato guide future actions to protect and promote Jharkhand’s identity.
