Bokaro: DAV-6 School held a vibrant array of activities as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan on Wednesday. The program featured a toran decoration competition, a reading competition, and a Vedic lecture, engaging students from various houses within the school.
In the reading competition for classes III to V, Sanskriti Jha from Dayanand Sadan secured first place, followed by Aman Kumar and Prince Kumar, both from Hansraj Sadan, who claimed second and third positions respectively.
The toran decoration contest, open to students in classes IX and X, saw Shraddhanand House’s team—comprising Aditya, Vani, Zeeshan, Asmat, Rehan, Dhriti, Puja, Jaidev, and Riya—take first place. Vivekanand House’s team, including Jaya B Pritam, Khushboo, Swarana, Anjani, Riya, Bibhas, Saman Aafia, Srishti, Beauty, and Manyata, finished in second.
Young students from class I also participated by presenting the significance of the flag’s colors—saffron, white, and green.
Principal Anuradha Singh addressed the students, emphasizing that such competitions foster patriotism, boost self-confidence, and enhance personal development. She highlighted that participation is more important than winning, encouraging students to engage in various events.
The event also featured a Vedic lecture by Acharya Anand Purusharthi, an International Vedic Promoter from Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh, and Bhajanopadeshak Vallabh Muni Vanprasthi from Chhattisgarh. Acharya Anand Purusharthi provided insights into Vedic knowledge, explaining the immutable qualities of God and the importance of knowledge, actions, worship, and science. His enlightening bhajan performance captivated the audience.
The ceremony was attended by Brahmadev Prasad from the school management, Arya Samaji Chetan Parmar, students from classes IX to XII, and the school’s teaching staff.
