PM Modi Honors Martyrs and Outlines Vision for India on 78th Independence Day

New Delhi: On the 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in honoring martyrs and freedom fighters. Speaking from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi, the Prime Minister hoisted the national flag and delivered a forward-looking address outlining his vision for India’s growth.

In his speech, Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to transformative reforms aimed at strengthening the nation and improving the lives of its citizens. He highlighted the importance of governance reforms as crucial for achieving the goal of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047.

Modi outlined the establishment of modern systems across various sectors, including banking, tourism, MSME, education, healthcare, transport, and agriculture. He also noted the burgeoning space sector and its pivotal role in enhancing India’s global stature.

The Prime Minister showcased several government initiatives designed to develop the skills of India’s youth, positioning the country as a global skill capital. He envisioned transforming India into a major manufacturing hub and stressed the need for preparing future-ready skilled professionals to meet the demands of rapid development.

Addressing societal issues, Modi expressed deep concern over rising violence and crimes against women, calling for swift justice and stringent punishment for perpetrators. He also advocated for a secular Civil Code, criticizing the current one as discriminatory.

Following his address, Modi interacted with children and spectators at the Red Fort. Earlier in the day, he paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, at Rajghat.
