Lucknow: During the Lok Sabha elections, the visible rift between BJP-Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has now been mended, keeping in mind the nation’s and Hindus’ interests. Once again, RSS and BJP are set to work together. The RSS, which had gone into ‘pravas’ (recess) during the Lok Sabha elections, is now prepared to become a lifeline for the BJP in the upcoming by-elections for 10 Assembly seats. This has led to speculation that the BJP could be in a stronger position than the opposition in these by-elections. Additionally, the RSS has begun strategizing to contain the turmoil within the BJP following its defeat in the general elections. These discussions came to light during the ‘Hindu Gaurav Diwas’ event, organized on the death anniversary of the staunch Hindu leader and former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.
In line with this, a significant meeting was held the other day in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS’s Sah-Sarkaryavah (joint general secretary) Arun Kumar. The meeting focused on coordination between the government, RSS, and BJP organisation. Topics discussed included improving coordination between the government and the party organization, strategies for the by-elections, the appointment of party officials in local bodies and boards, among other issues. It was decided that RSS workers would also be involved in preparations alongside BJP in the by-elections.
The meeting also centered on the brewing discord concerning the stature of the government and the organization. RSS expressed concern that if this situation persists, the BJP could suffer the most in its future political journey. Sources indicate that RSS has advised leaders to avoid such situations. Regarding the by-elections and the mutual coordination between the government and the organization, it was emphasized that all senior party leaders must resolve any internal differences or disagreements by sitting together and finding a solution.
With the gap between the two organizations now bridged, RSS and BJP are formulating strategies to strengthen booth management further. In discussions on this strategy, it was suggested that small booth-level meetings be held and continuous communication with the public be maintained. It was also discussed that it is crucial to clarify the facts to the public to counter the narrative created by the opposition regarding reservations and the Constitution. Additionally, it was decided to counter the confusion being spread by the opposition about PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, Adivasi) by connecting people from all communities at the booth level and presenting the government’s and party’s perspectives to the public.
