Excise Department Raids Daffodil Hotel; Seizes Illegal Liquor, Arrests Operator

Bokaro: In a significant crackdown on illegal alcohol activities, the Excise Department executed a raid early this morning at the Daffodil Hotel, situated within the City Park area of Bokaro Steel City.

This operation was spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner of Excise, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, who provided the crucial tip-off.

The raid resulted in the seizure of a significant cache of illicit alcohol. Authorities confiscated 146 bottles of foreign liquor totaling 44.808 liters, 10 bottles of 500 ml Budweiser beer, and a counterfeit Jharkhand government logo.

 

Sudesh Kumar Shanan, also known as Toni, the owner/operator of the Daffodil Hotel, was apprehended during the operation. He faces charges under various sections of the Excise Act.

Deputy Commissioner Bokaro has called on the public to report any information related to illegal liquor activities, including sales, transportation, or storage. The Excise Department has promised to keep all reports confidential and to act swiftly on credible information.
