PM Modi flags off Six Vande Bharat trains virtually from Ranchi airport

Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off six new Vande Bharat trains, including the Tatanagar-Patna route, through a video conferencing event from Ranchi airport.

Originally planned to take place in Jamshedpur, the flag-off ceremony was shifted to a virtual format due to poor visibility and adverse weather conditions that prevented Modi’s helicopter from departing.

In addition to the train launch, PM laid the foundation stone for several railway projects in Jharkhand and inaugurated initiatives valued at over 660 crore rupees.

Speaking from Ranchi, Modi emphasised that the introduction of the Vande Bharat trains would significantly bolster economic and cultural activities in Eastern India, particularly in Jharkhand and its neighboring states.

Modi highlighted that these new trains would not only boost the region’s tourism industry but also create job opportunities. He reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of Jharkhand.
