CCL Launches Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan with Key Pledge Ceremony

Ranchi: The Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan was officially launched today at CCL Headquarters by CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh. During the event, the CMD administered the Swachhata Pledge to the employees, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness.

The ceremony was attended by key figures including Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Harish Duhan, Director (Technical/Planning & Project) Satish Jha, CVO Pankaj Kumar, General Managers, Department Heads, and numerous officers and employees.

The pledge taken by all participants focused on personal responsibility for cleanliness. “I will neither create any dirt nor allow anyone else to do so, starting with myself, my family, my locality, my village, and my workplace. I believe that the cleanliness observed in countries worldwide is due to their citizens’ commitment to preventing and addressing dirt. Therefore, I will voluntarily contribute 100 hours annually, or two hours every week, to cleanliness efforts,” the pledge stated.

The Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan, running from September 17 to October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, will be celebrated nationwide. This year’s theme, “Swabhaav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata,” aims to promote a cultural shift towards incorporating cleanliness into daily life and behavior.

The campaign will feature various activities, including cleanliness-themed art and essay competitions, street plays, and awareness programs across all CCL command areas. Additionally, an Aadhaar camp was organized for Safai Mitras, and several initiatives were planned to ensure the success of the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan.
