Bokaro girl Sakshi wins inter-college singing contest

Bokaro: Sakshi Ranjan, a first-year English honors student at Southfield College in Darjeeling, has emerged victorious in an inter-college singing competition organized by the Writer’s Club at Darjeeling Government College. The event took place on 21 September.

Sakshi, who hails from Bokaro, has a deep passion for music and has been honing her skills under the guidance of her father, renowned tabla player Dr. Rakesh Ranjan. She is also a disciple of esteemed classical singer Pandit Rana Jha, from whom she is currently learning advanced techniques.

Following her win, Sakshi received congratulations from her college’s administration, including Principal Professor (Dr) Anuradha Rai, Head of the English Department Professor (Dr) Mandika Sinha, and Professor (Dr) Ivana, all of whom expressed their pride in her achievement and wished her continued success in her musical journey. Pandit Rana Jha also offered his heartfelt congratulations to Sakshi, highlighting her potential in the world of music.
