Gaya: The East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization, under the leadership of President Sunita Singh, recently contributed to the ‘Dastak’ initiative of the Central Railway Women Welfare Organization based in New Delhi.
On Thursday, sanitary pads were distributed to underprivileged women and girls residing in Yadav Colony, Digha, Patna.
The event was attended by key members of the organization, including Vice President Ranjana, Secretary Meenakshi Kumar, Treasurer Archana Chaudhary, and Joint Secretary Priyanka Singh.
Dr. Neha, a gynecologist from Central Hospital Patna, provided essential health information to the attendees, emphasizing the importance of health and hygiene.
The ‘Dastak’ scheme aims to distribute eco-friendly, low-cost sanitary pads to women from weaker sections at a profit-loss free price, making it a popular initiative in the community.
