Naveen Pandit Emerges as Leading Contender for BJP Ticket in Sisamau By-Election

Kanpur: The race for the BJP ticket in the Sisamau assembly constituency is heating up following the vacancy created by the conviction of Samajwadi Party’s Irfan Solanki in the Jajmau arson case. With approximately 1.75 lakh voters set to decide the outcome, Naveen Pandit has emerged as a frontrunner among more than a dozen contenders vying for the nomination.

Naveen Pandit, a seasoned politician who has won councilor elections five times, has a notable history, including 11 months in Fatehgarh jail during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and another nine months in Kanpur jail in 1993. Known for his strong leadership and commitment to public service, he has garnered significant support within the party.

As a dedicated party worker, Naveen Pandit has played a crucial role in strengthening the BJP’s presence in the region. His approachability and connection with voters across various demographics, coupled with his proven ability to engage with community issues, enhance his candidacy. He has also shown remarkable popularity, reflected in his achievement of 10 lakh points on the Namo App, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Support for Pandit is robust, coming from key sectors within the Municipal Corporation and various social organizations, including the Valmiki Vikas Parishad. His longstanding involvement with the Sisamau constituency and leadership of over 10,000 party workers, including a significant number of Muslim voters, position him as a compelling candidate for the BJP.

Naveen Pandit’s commitment to public welfare and his active role in addressing local issues, including development projects in various slums, underline his appeal. With strong familial ties and connections within the constituency, many believe he could secure victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming by-election.
