Ranchi: Amin Ahmed, Central General Secretary of the Jharkhand Rajya Urdu Shikshak Sangh, has urged the state government to expedite the allocation of funds for the payment of outstanding salaries to teachers and non-teaching staff in non-government aided primary and minority schools.
With Durga Puja approaching, Ahmed highlighted the pressing need for timely financial support, as many educators and their families have not received salaries for several months.
“The excitement of the festival has diminished among teachers, staff, and their families due to the lack of salary payments,” Ahmed stated. “It is imperative that the state government addresses this issue promptly.”
In a memorandum submitted to the Director of Primary Education, Ahmed pointed out that while salary allocations have been issued for teachers and staff in 13 districts, 11 other districts are still awaiting funds. He emphasized that despite requests for allocations from several districts, including West Singhbhum, there has been no response from the government.
Central spokesperson Shahzad Anwar added that a series of significant festivals are set to begin this month, further underscoring the urgency of the situation. “In many districts, salaries have not been disbursed for the past three months due to the lack of allocation. We urge the government to provide the necessary funds based on the reports received from various districts as soon as possible,” Anwar stated.
As the community prepares for the celebrations, the demand for immediate action remains critical to restore the enthusiasm and well-being of those affected.
