IndiGo Passengers Stranded Nationwide Due to Major System Slowdown

New Delhi: IndiGo Airlines, India’s largest low-cost carrier, faced a significant system slowdown on Saturday, October 5, at around 12:30 PM, resulting in widespread disruptions to flight operations and ground services at airports across the country.

The technical difficulties prevented numerous passengers from boarding their flights or making new bookings, leading to substantial delays and mounting frustration for travelers stranded at various airports.

Many affected passengers took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express their grievances and urged the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to intervene.

In response, IndiGo acknowledged the situation in a post on X, stating, “We are currently facing a temporary system slowdown across our network, impacting our website and booking systems. This may lead to longer wait times, slower check-ins, and extended queues at the airport.”

The airline reassured passengers that its airport staff were fully committed to assisting travelers and managing the situation. “Rest assured, we are working tirelessly to restore normalcy as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience,” IndiGo’s statement added.

With a daily operation of over 2,000 flights, including international routes, IndiGo is actively working to resolve the issue and minimize disruption to its services.
