Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again made his presence felt within the BJP. He has emerged as the hero of the party’s victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, marking a third consecutive win for the BJP. Yogi conducted public meetings in 14 assembly constituencies in Haryana, leading to BJP victories in 9 of those seats, resulting in a strike rate of nearly 70%. In contrast, Congress President Rahul Gandhi held 8 public meetings, managing to win only 2 seats.
The increase in voting percentage was also crucial for BJP’s success. Overall, while the BJP appeared somewhat weak in Haryana during the Lok Sabha elections, the voters provided a timely boost. The BJP secured 48 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections, maintaining power, while Congress won 37 seats. Notably, Yogi’s remarks about “batoge to katoge” played a significant role in this victory.
This indicates that CM Yogi has once again proven to be a trump card for the BJP. He campaigned in five constituencies during the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, winning four of them. Similarly, he campaigned in Haryana, and out of the 14 seats he visited, the BJP won 9, demonstrating that the Hindutva card played well for the BJP. However, Rahul Gandhi and Congress’s attempt to “save the Constitution” and their strategy to divide Hindu votes based on caste did not gain traction.
Yogi campaigned in Haryana for four days and two days in Jammu and Kashmir. On September 22, he campaigned in Narwana, Rai, and Assandh, where BJP candidates emerged victorious. On September 28, he campaigned in Faridabad, Radour, Jagadhri, and Ateli, all of which were won by BJP as well. Additionally, on September 30, he held an electoral rally in Bawani Khera, which also resulted in a BJP win. On October 3, he conducted a public meeting in Safidon, where the BJP again secured victory.
If we look at his track record in Jammu and Kashmir, it shows a similar trend; in the seats where he campaigned, BJP maintained dominance. Yogi held rallies in Ramgarh, RS Pura South, Ramnagar, and Kathua, where BJP candidates won. Therefore, it can be concluded that CM Yogi Adityanath has once again proven to be a trump card for the BJP, showcasing his influence during the elections. Based on this, it can be said that Yogi’s stature within the BJP has significantly increased.
