Bokaro: The literary community is in mourning following the passing of Dr. Nar Narayan Tiwari, a prominent writer and general secretary of the Bharti Sahitya Parishad, who died on October 10, 2024, at the age of 76. Dr. Tiwari, a resident of Sector 6D, had retired as a senior Hindi teacher from the Bokaro Steel Plant’s education department and was an influential figure in the local literary scene.
He was visiting Vrindavan with his family when he passed away. His body has since been taken to his ancestral village, Ballia.
Dr. Tiwari’s death has left a profound impact on the literary world in Bokaro, with many prominent figures expressing their condolences. Notable tributes came from Sukh Nandan Singh Saday, a patron of Bharti Sahitya Parishad, along with President Shiv Kumar Singh, and senior litterateurs such as Buddhinath Jha and Tulanand Mishra.
Colleagues and friends, including Dr. Asha Pushp, Dr. Ram Narayan Singh, and members of the Janwadi Writers Association, described his passing as an irreparable loss to literature and the community. Dr. Tiwari was widely respected for his contributions to poetry and literature, and his absence will be deeply felt by those who knew him and his work.
