PM Modi to embark on two-day visit to Russia to attend BRICS Summit in Kazan

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Russia starting on the 22nd of this month to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The summit, taking place in Kazan, is centered around the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security.”

This summit will serve as a crucial platform for leaders to engage in discussions on significant global issues and to evaluate the progress of initiatives launched by BRICS. It will also provide an opportunity to explore potential areas for future collaboration among member nations.

According to a statement from the External Affairs Ministry, Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from BRICS member countries and invited leaders during his visit.
