During the discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the leaders agreed that Special Representatives on the India-China boundary issue would convene soon to manage peace in border areas and seek a fair resolution to ongoing disputes. Both leaders acknowledged that positive bilateral relations would contribute significantly to regional and global stability, fostering a multi-polar Asia and world.
Modi and Xi expressed a commitment to advancing their relationship from a strategic perspective, enhancing communication, and collaborating on developmental challenges. Modi welcomed recent agreements for complete disengagement regarding border tensions that arose in 2020, reiterating that maintaining peace should be a priority.
