DPS Bokaro Rolls Out Red Carpet for Voters with Unique Decorations Ahead of Jharkhand Elections

Bokaro: As the festival of democracy arrives for the people of Bokaro, preparations for the second phase of voting in the Jharkhand Assembly elections on November 20 are in full swing. Among the many polling stations in the city, the one set up at Delhi Public School (DPS) in Sector-4 stands out with its unique and attractive decorations aimed at welcoming voters.

This time, the school has transformed its polling booth into a vibrant and engaging space, with a red carpet laid out to greet voters. In an empowering move, all the polling personnel at this “pink booth” are women. The entire polling station has been decorated with the theme of a “Developed India,” reflecting the country’s growth and progress.

Under the guidance of DPS Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar, the school staff worked tirelessly to bring the decorations to life. Twelfth-grade students Arjit Anukul and Sheela, along with their teachers, created visually striking displays that embody the theme of a developed nation. The artwork features a range of creative pieces, including hand replicas symbolizing voting, figures in various masks representing people, and representations of nation-building, such as Chandrayaan-3 and white pigeons symbolizing peace. These artistic elements were crafted using materials like sand, stone, paper pulp, and wood.

The entire polling station, from the entrance to the polling room, is adorned with voter awareness slogans, reinforcing the importance of civic participation. Additionally, the decorations highlight Jharkhand’s tourist and natural heritage, with a special focus on the state’s rich cultural identity. For added fun, two selfie points, featuring flower pots and tricolor designs, have been set up to encourage voters to capture memorable moments.

The DPS polling center will host five booths (numbers 267, 268, 269, 270, and 271) for voters in various areas of Sector-4. Dr. Gangwar has urged residents to come out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote, emphasizing that their participation is crucial for building a stronger Bokaro, an advanced Jharkhand, and a prosperous India.

The creative and welcoming atmosphere at DPS Bokaro aims to inspire voter engagement and make the democratic process more exciting for the people of the region.
