RNS: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has expressed admiration for India’s efficient electoral system, following the rapid conclusion of vote counting for two state assembly elections and by-elections, all completed within a single day.
Musk shared his thoughts on social media platform X, highlighting the speed of India’s election results while poking fun at the ongoing delays in vote counting in California.
In his post, Musk shared a screenshot of an article on the Indian vote counting process, writing, “India counted 640 million votes in one day, while California is still counting votes.” Musk’s comment drew attention to the fact that, over two weeks after the election, California has yet to tally more than 300,000 ballots. Despite Donald Trump being declared the winner of the U.S. elections, the final results are still pending, with election officials stating that it could take weeks to finalize the outcome.
Musk’s remarks underscored the stark contrast between the swift electoral process in India and the delays experienced in the U.S. state.
